Today marks a whole month since I've been running. It. Is. Hard.
It may be getting easier. I don't know yet.
Prior to this month, I had run 3.12 miles exactly twice. Never more than that. I simply said, "I'm not a runner. If God had wanted me to run, he wouldn't have let me make my boobs so big."
In 2014, I have run 7 5ks on my own, by myself. Last Saturday, I ran 5 miles. At one time. Willingly.
I am shocked at myself.
This month so far, I've been frustrated at the scale. I can't get out of the 170's. I've lost 1" off my hips, 1.5" off my waist, and 1.5" off my bust. But the scale isn't budging. It's maddening.
Hopefully the inches will fall off and the scale will get its shit together and catch up, too.
PS: THANK YOU to all of you who gave me advice when I first announced I would be running in addition to crossfit. I took it. Alllllll of it. And more advice is welcomed and needed. The more the merrier. Seriously.
PPS: I have committed to running a half marathon with my friend (and fellow crossfitter), Elizabeth in 2015. What the hell am I thinking?
I am 4 weeks into this thing. I am seeing a change (I think). In 8 weeks, I hope my friends can see a change. In 12 weeks, I hope the world can see a change.
