This year's Mardi Gras was definitely...eventful. Friday night was the Zulu ball and I was super excited to attend. I got my hair done in classic, 1940's victory rolls with 1940's makeup all done by Chris over at Air Blow Dry Bar in Baton Rouge. I love him. A lot.
There was a lot of traffic, but we finally made it to the ball and made the best of it. Definitely a fancy affair. I made it back to Baton Rouge to work for Monday, but not before Mike Buck posted these awesome photos from 14.1. He always amazes me with his talent.
In case you're wondering why my hair is down: if I wear my hair in a ponytail, it gets caught in my rope. Because I knew I'd only get one chance at 14.1, I didn't want to take any chances! I made it to Houma Monday night so that I could spend Mardi Gras Day with Mason and his family. There was some parade goin', king cake eatin', and bead catchin'. But mostly, Marlo and I took pictures.
Headed to the parade...in the rain.
Loot.
I leave my phone for 15 minutes, I come back to a Marlo photoshoot.
My boy missed me!
Lastly, I come home to find that my girl Erin at Two Thirds Hazel posted a Blogmopolitan Quiz part two! I liked the first one so much, I did it again.
I know this post is late and all, but I needed to post! PLUS, 14.2 is released tomorrow. Any guesses to what it is?
